The Iowa Turfgrass Institute (ITI) is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to research, education and dissemination of information on turfgrass. The ITI provides association management for Golf Course Superintendents, Sports Turf Managers and Professional Lawn Care operators.
The ideal candidate for the full-time Executive Director role must be proactive, service minded, and adaptable. The Executive Director must be able to work with multiple groups, manage multiple meetings and events and work with multiple Boards and volunteer committees. The position reports to the ITI Board of Trustees and oversees the operations of three allied associations. Duties include, organizing and executing the annual Iowa Turfgrass Conference & Trade Show, multiple golf tournaments, managing allied association schedules, membership databases, member inquiries, accounting, promoting and marketing events, proofreading/approving publications, fundraising, managing and promoting sponsorships, and maintaining multiple websites. Although there are many leadership related aspects to this position, this role is very hands on with many administrative duties.
Successful candidates will have a combination of Administrative, Marketing, Communication, Financial, Fundraising, Membership and Technological skills. Experience with a variety of office and design software is valuable.
Salary and Benefits
Salary negotiations starting at $60,000 plus competitive benefit package, travel expenses and memberships in ASAE and other related associations.
